Played out

So we have built a few cafe racers here...but I have to admit, the fad is getting a little old. Don't get me wrong, a proper cafe triumph or BSA, Vincent, etc. is great, and I really don't think anyone would argue that. However, throwing clubman bars on a honda and putting a checkered stripe down the center is just dumb. Basically, at that point you are just ruining a classic bike. It's like putting a giant spoiler on a honda accord. Take a few steps back, and it dosen't look like a sportscar, just just looks like a piece of farm equipment attacked your trunk. The cafe bikes we have built here have been ground up, with a vision, not a ad-hock after thought of what a cafe' should look like. Truthfully, the only reason I used clubmans on our 350 was because I already had the headlight mounts painted,clip-ons would not work, and drag bars looked retarded. I guess what I'm getting at is....stop half-assing it and do something different.
